Lorde Finds Inspiration in Charli XCX’s ‘Brat’ Remix: “It Gave Me a Kick” for Her Next Album

In the initial version of “Girl, so confusing,” Charli refers to her
relationship

Nevertheless, they reportedly “resolved their differences” through the remix, an experience Lorde described as having a sense of “raw vulnerability,” inspiring her latest creations.

After the remix was released, Lorde teamed up with Charli to perform the song during her show.
