It has been three years since Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce parted ways with his former girlfriend, Kayla Nicole.
Since then, whenever this 33-year-old social media influencer sits down for interviews with various news or media outlets, she often gets queried about her previous connection with Kelce. This repeated discussion of her history with him has led certain fans to believe that Nicole constantly brings up her former partner.
Although some think Nicole remains fixated on the 10-time Pro Bowl player, she insists that her focus is moving forward with her life and avoiding constant references as “Kelce’s ex.”
In a recent appearance on
the “Second Wind” podcast
Nicole tackled the ongoing debate regarding Kelce and her previous relationship, expressing intense emotions on the matter without directly naming him.
People often say, ‘Move on,’ which fascinates me,” Nicole commented. “To those individuals, I would respond, ‘The same goes for you.’…Life gave me lemons, and I turned them into a lemon martini, which seems to bother some people.
Nicole caught some attention
Last year, during her appearance on Angel Reese’s “Unapologetically Angel” podcast, she discussed Kelce’s present relationship with pop star Taylor Swift.
She claimed that Swift was responsible for ending her communication with Kelce, leading to significant criticism from online audiences. The situation became so severe that Nicole mentioned her mother advised her against discussing Kelce openly in public forums.
However, even though that aspect of Nicole’s life has attracted significant negative attention, she acknowledges that it has also enabled her to gain deeper self-awareness.
It’s part of my narrative, and in many respects, I believe it served as a turning point for significant positive changes, inspiration, and personal growth in my life,” Nicole explained further. “Therapy became an essential part of my journey due to these experiences, and I feel it dramatically altered how I approach life.
