The video game company EA Sports along with North America’s Major League Soccer (MLS) have revealed that gamers playing the EA Sports FC mobile soccer game will get the chance to view four MLS regular-season games for the year 2025.
The viewing option can be accessed through the in-game FCM TV portal, featuring a live broadcast of MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
As part of the continuing collaboration between EA Sports FC, the MLS, and MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, this announcement signifies the first instance where EA Sports will televise live sporting events across the globe.
The live stream will premiere on May 10 with the reigning MLS champions, LA Galaxy, facing off against the New York Red Bulls, followed by theAtlanta United versus Philadelphia Union match on May 17.
The final two MLS Season Pass matches to be streamed within EA Sports FC Mobile, meanwhile, will be held in September.
In order to access the broadcasts, users must reach account level 4 on the game to unlock access, and the broadcast is limited to countries where the MLS Season Pass is available. Players will get a free one-month trial of the MLS Season Pass.
Additionally, as part of the deal, EA Sports FC Mobile players will be able to access the Football Centre, a hub for content based on global soccer events, which also allows users to play each real-life match in-game.
Players who watch the live broadcasts will also be given in-game currency.
Lawrence Koh, who serves as the vice president of EA Sports FC Mobile, stated: “With the ability for fans to view selected live MLS Season Pass games directly inside the EA Sports FC Mobile app, we’re staying true to our dedication towards enhancing player engagement. Starting from 2023, every live MLS match has been available worldwide through the Apple TV streaming platform. This arrangement is set to last up to 2032 and is valued at approximately $2.5 billion, equating to about $250 million annually.
The 2025 MLS season commenced in late February and concludes on October 18.
