Jalen Brunson Had Same Reaction As Everyone Else to Knicks’ Shocking Comeback Win

For once in their tumultuous past, the New York Knicks are experiencing somewhat of a charmed existence.

In Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Boston Celtics, they overturned a 20-point deficit to win in overtime. In Game 2, they accomplished an identical feat,
rallying from a 20-
point deficit
again
to defeat the Celtics 91–90.

As the dust settled following another victory for the Knicks, guard Jalen Brunson found himself nearly speechless.

“I’m simply glad we discovered a way to secure victory,” Brunson stated, looking noticeably relieved. “This was quite an unpredictable turn of events.”

Brunson made both free throws with 12.1 seconds remaining, and New York forward Mikal Bridges caused Boston forward Jayson Tatum to make a mistake, forcing an inaccurate pass in the final moments.

The Knicks are only two victories shy of reaching their first Eastern Conference finals series since 2000, back when Jeff Van Gundy was at the helm as coach and Allan Houston led the team in scoring as a guard.
