How will the upcoming Ikea store on Oxford Street appear?
Curated shops
–
On the ground floor, you will find three ‘Curated Shops’; these are specialized retail spaces designed by Londoners who aim to capture and honor the essence and variety of the city’s inhabitants.
Ikea’s iconic showroom –
At the Ikea store on Oxford Street, areas and displays have been designed featuring actual residents’ living spaces from across the city. These showcases encompass dedicated work-from-home setups as well as environments tailored for operating a small business, along with ideas for serene balcony retreats.
Design Services –
Customers can access Ikea’s typical design assistance, which includes help with interior design as well as kitchen and bedroom storage planning.
Swedish Deli –
The Ikea store on Oxford Street will feature a 130-seat Swedish Delicatessen. Visitors can enjoy classic fare like hot dogs starting at £0.85, along with signature mains such as packs of eight or twelve meatballs or plantballs priced at just £4.95.
Used and new spaces –
For the first time globally, Ikea’s Oxford Street location will introduce a Live Studio equipped with broadcast facilities. Additionally, the new store will include a Re-Shop and Re-Use zone where customers can purchase pre-owned and retired Ikea items.
Delivery services –
Smaller furniture pieces can be taken away from the store right away, as approximately 3,500 IKEA items are readily available. For bigger items that won’t fit into IKEA’s iconic blue bag, customers have the option to place an order in-store for delivery directly to their homes.
In January, Park House announced that Pandora, Swarovski, Urban Outfitters, Bershka, along with the main River Island store located within the complex, are attempting to terminate their lease agreements.
Microsoft
They have also declared that they will shut down their Oxford Street location to concentrate on ‘expanding digitally’ following the launch of the 21,000 square foot outlet six years back.
