A man who allegedly strangled his girlfriend 20 times “in a jealous rage” is being sent to prison, according to authorities in California.

Four years and eight months in jail following the 2022 incident, according to a May 5 Facebook post by the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office.
Prosecutors stated that he was found guilty of four charges, which included two felony counts associated with domestic abuse and false imprisonment. They also noted that he was handed the highest possible penalty.
His lawyer refused to make any remarks during a May 9 telephone conversation with McClatchy News.
Beadle’s “severe and extended attack” on the woman occurred in March 2022, when her young children were sleeping inside the house, according to prosecutors.
Beadle throttled the woman approximately twenty times, made threats against her and her family members, confined her, and seized her cellphone, as stated by the prosecutors.
According to prosecutors, the man felt jealousy because the woman was conversing with her ex-husband.
At the time of sentencing, Judge Troye Shaffer stated that Beadle’s behavior was “disturbing and unforgettable,” as reported by prosecutors.
In the press statement, District Attorney Carla Rodriguez commented, “The bravery of the survivor in this instance truly impresses me; they demonstrated remarkable strength by persisting through the extended legal proceedings. It’s reassuring to know that both the jury and the court ensured the survivor obtained justice here, and my wish is for them to find peace as they continue their journey beyond this troubling chapter.”
