Mobile Sheriff’s Office Teams Up With MCPSS for First-Ever Kids Camp

To cultivate a supportive connection with local youth, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office is collaborating with the Mobile County Public School System for their inaugural kids’ camp called Camp Explorer.

The MCSO reports that kids between the ages of eight and 12 will participate in educational activities focused on different areas of public safety.

Throughout the camp, kids will be split into four teams, taking on deputy roles. The MCSO will arrange visits to nearby enterprises and picturesque spots around the county, allowing the children opportunities to discover their surroundings.

The initial session will start from June 10 and run until June 12 at Semmes Middle School.

The second session will take place from June 24 to June 26 at Hankins Middle School.
