A tour bus filled with children caught fire near Moab on Friday morning due to a mechanical problem, as stated by the Utah Highway Patrol. Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident.

The tour bus, originating from the Denver region, was carrying approximately 36 kids who were part of a camping excursion, stated Lt. Cameron Roden of the Utah Highway Patrol (UHP). The accident took place just after 9:30 a.m. on State Route 191.

Apparently, the driver detected a mechanical problem with the bus and decided to pull over to the roadside. Following this, the driver instructed all the children on board to exit the vehicle.

The Grand County School District has dispatched a bus to move the children to a nearby junior high school. It is reported that a tour bus company has also sent an additional vehicle to collect them at the school and bring them back to the Denver region.

SR-191 was closed following the accident but has since resumed operations. There have been no reports of injuries.

There is currently no additional information available.
