In the podcast, they mentioned, “The veil was shrouded in mystery…I recall making significant efforts to uncover the identity of the designer.” She elaborated, “I must tip my hat to The Sunday Times; they disclosed that it was designed by Sarah Burton for McQueen before the grand event. This reportedly broughtKate to tears backstage, suggesting some of the pressure she endured leading up to her royal wedding.”


Soon after, Buckingham Palace issued a statement indicating that Middleton had collaborated closely with Burton on designing her wedding gown. Nicoll commented, “It wasn’t significant on the actual day; when she exited the vehicle, she appeared stunning.” It’s said that the dress by Alexander McQueen for the Princess of Wales took cues from Victorian-era corsets. Additionally, Burton, who served as the creative director of the label, crafted both Middleton’s ceremony attire and her reception outfit. Her second ensemble boasted a sweetheart neckline, a complete circular skirt, and a sparkling diamond-studded belt around the middle. To finish off her appearance perfectly, Middleton wore a coordinating fluffy white Angora shawl.

The designer commented in a release, “These past several months have been incredibly thrilling and an amazing journey for me and my team as we collaborated closely with Catherine to craft this gown amidst utmost confidentiality.” She continued, “Naturally, Catherine was quite eager to maintain the privacy surrounding her dress, which is entirely within each bride’s rights.”

The Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress featured handmade lace from the Royal School of Needlework. The intricate designs on her sophisticated attire incorporated symbols such as the rose, thistle, daffodil, and shamrock, symbolizing the UK. The combination of delicate lace appliqués on both the bodice and skirt beautifully enhanced the ivory satin-crepe fabric. Additionally, she adorned herself with the Cartier Halo tiara—a gift from the former Queen Elizabeth II—for this significant occasion.
