The “severe thunderstorm watch” for the Ottawa-Gatineau area has been announced by Environment Canada on Saturday morning.
The agency stated on their website Saturday, “Intense thunderstorms could form early this morning or during the afternoon.”
The agency warned that wind speeds could reach up to 90 kilometers per hour, along with potential rainfalls of 25 to 50 millimeters or hail measuring two centimeters within an hour.
