The Ukrainian Ministry of Strategic Industries along with officials from the Spanish firm Escribano Mechanical and Engineering (EM&M) held talks regarding the local production of equipment in Ukraine.

Herman Smetanin, the Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, stated that this collaboration will greatly enhance Ukrainian military hardware, providing a substantial uplift to the country’s fighting forces.

“I was delighted to learn about the interest shown by EM&M representatives in conducting business in Ukraine and their comprehension of potential collaboration opportunities with the Ukrainian defense sector… Thanks for your thorough efforts and tangible actions toward partnership. I believe both parties will gain significantly from this cooperation,” stated Smetanin.

In the course of the meeting, the participants explored potential opportunities and requirements for adapting the manufacturing and upkeep processes of remote-controlled tower units within Ukrainian industrial facilities.

Guardian 30

The Guardian 30 remote-controlled turret module (RCTM) is a modern weapon system designed to ensure security on the battlefield and perform various tasks. These modules are equipped with automatic cannons, machine guns, and other means, which allow them to perform the functions of fire cover, reconnaissance, and surveillance.

Due to the remote control, the operator can securely manage the module from afar, thereby minimizing risks for staff members.

The Guardian 30 is remarkably agile and versatile, enabling its deployment across different settings and mission types. These units can be attached to armored vehicles, vessels, or set up in fixed locations. By incorporating advanced features like visualization tools and control systems, these modules become potent assets for addressing contemporary challenges on the field of battle.

Previously, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez declared an additional military assistance package for Ukraine amounting to 1 billion euros scheduled for delivery in 2025. Additionally, Spain intends to establish a dedicated Ukrainian center in Alicante.
