— The Ozona High School baseball team aims to keep their impressive 2025 campaign going as the Lions face off against Anson in a Class 2A area playoff series beginning on Thursday at Midland Greenwood.
The first game is set for 5 p.m., with the second game following at 1 p.m. on Friday. Should a third game be needed, it would start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the previous match.
The Lions have a record of 20-4 and recently completed a series sweep over Colorado City. They dominated the first game with a score of 12-0 and followed up with a high-scoring victory of 15-8 later that evening.
Anson has a record of 11-10. In the first round, the Tigers managed to defeat Ballinger in three sets.
If Ozona wins, the Lions will face Sunray or New Deal in the regional semifinals next week.
