Ryan Dutra went 1-for-2 and drove in the winning run in the seventh for Nauset in a 3-2 Cape and Islands League win over Dennis-Yarmouth.

Carter Martins fanned three batters and allowed eight hits along with two earned runs across seven innings of work, whereas rookie Lucas Pimental had an impressive performance at bat going 3-for-4 with two doubles and driving in two runs as Seekonk defeated Old Rochester 10-2 within the South Coast Conference matchup.

Timmy Vargus pitched a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts, leading Winthrop to a 2-0 victory over Swampscott in the Northeastern Conference. The key moment came when Jay Fotiades delivered a crucial two-out RBI single in the seventh inning for the Vikings.

Boys lacrosse

During a non-league match, Gunner Hanna scored four goals, guiding Abington to an 11-6 win against Weymouth.

Sharlotte Stazinski recorded 16 strikeouts and gave up only two hits throughout the entire game, securing a shutout victory for Walpole against Weymouth with a score of 2-0 in the Bay State Conference. Sophia Florencio went 4-for-4 with two home runs to center field and drove in three runs, while Jackie Giordano went 3-for-4 and pitched a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk allowed as Brooks defeated Milton Academy 12-0 in five innings in the Independent School League.

Frida Greene had five goals as Cambridge defeated Lincoln-Sudbury 9-2 in the Dual County League.

Boys volleyball

Larry Claudio (10 assists), Juan Perez, and Kawan Diaz each notched 10 kills apiece, with Chris “Choc” Chavez contributing 19 assists as Revere dominated Chelsea 3-0 in the Greater Boston League match.

Ian Mao delivered an impressive performance with 15 kills, alongside Vitou Seng who notched down 12 kills and made 31 digs as Lowell secured a victory against Haverhill with a score of 3-1 in the Merrimack Valley Conference match. … In another game, Andrew Cox achieved his best record yet with 21 kills during Methuen’s 3-1 triumph over North Andover.
