MCCURTAIN COUNTY, Okla. (
KTAL/KSHV
— A previous mentor at
Haworth Public School
was apprehended for allegedly committing second-degree rape, according to reports from the authorities.
As stated in legal papers, Jonah Davis, who is 25 years old, was arrested in early April due to information uncovered during a separate inquiry.
The McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office mentioned that Davis was charged with misconduct involving a student.
Investigators from the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office think that he was formerly involved in a ‘dating relationship’ with an 18-year-old victim when she was a student and he was her coach at the school. Evidence from testimony and phone records suggests that their connection persisted through her graduation and beyond.
The school district says Davis has not been employed with Haworth Public Schools since June 2024.
Davis is facing charges of rape in the second degree. He has a preliminary hearing set for June 3rd.
The 43-year-old Terah Wright, another ex-school staff member, has also been charged with improper interactions involving minors. The accusations against her encompass three counts of solicitation for sexual acts or communications with a minor as well as one charge related to possessing child pornography.
The school district says that Wright has not been employed with Haworth Public Schools since February 2025.
