The Lucknow Super Giants’ spinner Digvesh Rai performed a notebook celebratory dance after dismissing Shreyas Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh during an intense match against the Punjab Kings at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.
On Sunday, May 4, Rathi faced aggressive batting from Punjab players but managed to dismiss Shreyas Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh as they approached significant scores during the game. In the 13th and 19th overs, Digvesh intervened, preventing them from achieving those marks by dismissing both batsmen.

Full Scorecard
Iyer, with 45 runs under his belt, was dismissed by a spinner for the first instance of the season when he sliced the ball off the outer edge. Meanwhile, Prabhsimran executed a clean reverse sweep but ended up sending the ball directly to Nicholas Pooran at covers, where he made a swift low catch.
Rathi introduced the notebook celebration for both players, potentially leading to a suspension. He was previously fined twice for this celebration during the Indian Premier League 2025, so he modified it somewhat. However, against PBKS, Rathi went back to his initial celebration style, originally popularized by Virat Kohli following his contentious interaction with Kesrick Williams in 2019.
On the day, Rathi recorded figures of 4-0-46-2 when used as the sole spinner in the team. LSG struggled both with their bowling and in the field consistently, allowing PBKS to amass an enormous total of 236 runs at the cost of only five wickets lost.
