India skipper Rohit Sharma handed over Mohammed Siraj’s T20 World Cup Champion ring as recognition of his significant contribution to their triumph earlier in the US and the West Indies. Siraj was particularly crucial during India’s initial matches in the United States.
The Indian team received their Championship rings.
At the Naman Awards held last year, Siraj was not present at the event.
Rohit chose to rectify the situation by arranging a private meeting with the pacer to hand over his ring. As the Indian skipper mentioned, Siraj was expected at the event, and he expressed pride in presenting the ring to him. They also embraced warmly during this encounter.
“This special presentation is for Mohammed Siraj. He was scheduled to attend the event and played a crucial part in our T20 campaign. Therefore, I am honored to present him with this distinctive ring,” stated Rohit.
The Indian fast bowler sported a wide grin as he showcased the ring and struck poses for the photographers.

Siraj and Rohit have both been performing exceptionally well for their teams this season. After being acquired by the Gujarat Titans, Siraj managed to rediscover his form following his exclusion from India’s squad for the Champions Trophy. He has taken 14 wickets across 10 games thus far. On the other hand, Rohit began the season slowly but has since improved significantly.
